• Do You Have an Eviction Emergency?

    If you have an eviction emergency or need help to pay your rent, you can still access external free resources:

    • Find a lawyer or a legal aid office near you;

    • Get information and referrals for rental assistance.

  • About This Tool

    Since September 4, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) implemented an order to stop evictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily.  However, the U.S. Supreme Court ended the CDC eviction moratorium on August 26, 2021and a CDC declaration no longer protects renters from eviction.

    A2J Tech built this tool to help tenants generate a CDC Declaration to prevent eviction from their homes, and it later transitioned to help renters and tenants check if their state had eviction protections.

    Although COVID-19 eviction bans are no longer in effect, you can still use this solution to find legal help or find resources for rental assistance.

  • NEWS: CDC Eviction Moratorium Ends

    The US Supreme Court ended the CDC eviction moratorium on August 26, 2021. The CDC Declarations no longer protect renters from eviction.

    If your state has its own eviction protection you may still be protected from eviction. If your state does NOT have its own protection, you could get evicted.
